Another Classic Trini Saying

Here is another classic Trini saying...'Ah go done yuh worries'. Translated accordingly 'I will done your worries'. What does this mean? It is a threat to do you (bodily) harm or kill you. The implication is that when your dead or badly damaged you won't have anything to worry about again, hence 'done yuh worries'.So when a Trini threatens to 'done yuh worries' take it seriously, it can mean the difference between life and death.

Another great Trini saying!

I recently began collecting Trini sayings and proverbs for my book. Here is a common Trini saying: He always bawling. Here 'bawling' is not referring to crying/ wailing or the like. "Bawling' here is talking about a person who is always complaining about going through hard times whether or not they are really going through tough times.
