Another ubiquitous Trini saying
is that of 'bouncing yuh (your) head'. This does not mean to bounce or knock your head accidentally. This Trini saying is usually worded something like this:
1. He/She bounce he/she head
2. Yuh (you) bounce yuh (your) head.
This saying means that the person referred to has made a bad or terrible mistake or choice. Many times it is made in reference to starting (or ending) a relationship with someone of the opposite sex. Usually the comment made would be like:
"She bounce she head to go with dah/dat (that) man."
Thus implying that the woman in question has made a bad decision or choice. This saying also has a double meaning as well, in that the speaker implies that the person made a bad choice due to being ignorant of certain knowledge or information that is unknown to them (about their boy/girl friend) and that it will be subsequently made know by the actions or behavior of their boy/girl friend eventually.
