Toco, Point Galera

Here are some pictures of the historic lighthouse at Point Galera, Toco. Toco, situated at the north eastern of the island of Trinidad is a very picturesque village that is virtually crime free so far. Point Galera has very rugged, majestic beaches and islands that leave you awestruck. It is truly magnificent. The lighthouse and the surrounding grounds were a bit unkempt and needed a little sprucing up. On a more positive note there were benches and tables that folks like me can appreciate after going up and down the cliffs and out on the Point. Nevertheless, the beaches and surrounding landscape were quite awesome. I think that the powers that be needs to have a bit of security around as the area is very lonely. While there several visitors local and foreign arrived to view this historic site. So enjoy these few pics of the lighthouse and environs.
NOTE: The pics are somewhat hazy due to a lot of sea spray from the waves bashing against the rocks and sides of the cliffs.
